Right back to repairing the old steps

Repair video #1

Move the old damaged step out of the way,
add crush, replace step.
We all wish it was that easy

Crush adds to sustainability

Bill pushes, Howie lifts and Dan
does the wiggle wiggle to get it into place

Now on to the next step

And of course, this piece has slid downhill

Using a lot of muscle, it is on it's way

Give me 3 bars mister, to move the step

The next one just needs to be leveled

And secured with anchor rocks

We also added one gargoyle

The other half of the grew working on a lower section,
narrowed and defined a large section of the trail

Saturday morning and we have a crew of 10 out today

This isn't Ellie's first time through the meadow

With Dan and Ian close behind

A spiderweb looks like a work of art

At the lower section
Linda is happily making crush

Also at the lower section,
more clearing and defining the trail

We do use a lot of crush

A portion of the lower section already finished

Bob brings a bucket of crush and some cobble

The cobble will help to define the trail

And it all is secured in place

Back at the top, Marty is holding our new ditch shovel.
It'll make digging in this rocky soil a little easier

Howie and Dan are back repairing the damaged steps

Russ is also using cobble to define the trail

On this project, we are definitely using a lot of crush
Hint: we always do

We have narrowed the trail by at least 4 feet
and defined the edge with cobble

Moving big rocks around to repair a drainage feature

These big rocks will help keep hikers on the trail

The steps have been repaired
and the trail is well defined

End of day crew meeting.
